Onlive

Postby shaq-marni » Mon Jul 30, 2012 10:20 pm

Im sure Locals been banging on about this before and TBH ive never tried it due to having a poo netbook that literally said no when trying to try onlive.
Impressed with the speed I could try out the free trials thats on most games. I never played the games too long as i was using the key pad. next time ill have my old ps2 pad (via usb adapter) attached to give a final verdict. Potentially its a great way to try the games before buying on the ps3 and without waiting for the downloads to finish.

Also in relation to your RTS topic, Onlive has stacks of them to play ;) Oh and welcome to the future :D I have a couple of Onlive gamepads but I have now started using the lads keyboard and mouse with the netbook and it makes some games easier to play, like the RTS games.

you can get it to accept a PS3 pad but you need some extra software, I believe it was called DS3 tool, but you'd need to google it as I can't for the life of me remember where I got it from.

I used a xbox controller to play Homefront on the work pc. After changing the settings for the sticks numerous times i just couldn't get it to feel right, it's set up for mouse and keyboard so i gave up. Not been back on since and won't be until i get a wired connection at home or Sony buy them.
